Sea Scout Leadership Award, National Territory 3 – San Francisco, CA
Amelie LG of SSS Viking 100 was nominated for being the first territory boatswain in National Service Territory 3 (NST3) and for her efforts of bringing together an NST3 Quarterdeck (youth leadership committee), for helping launch and teach at a national virtual advancement academy, and for visiting ships as far away as Hawaii. More about the award can be found here.
In Amelie’s own words: “It is an honor to be chosen alongside so many dedicated youth leaders from all over the country and to be in the first group of scouts that have gotten this award. As a territory boatswain my main role has been connecting with youth leaders from around our territory and helping them get resources they need for their ships. I have also worked as a part of the nation events support committee helping ships around the country put on events. Overall, the project I was most excited about this term was Virtual National Sea Scout Academy, which was a set of videos and live presentations on advancement topics.”
Congratulations to Amelie and all of the other youth leaders that inspire their fellow scouts.
