Sea Scout Ship 72​ - Albatross

The S.S.S. Albatross is based in Martinez, CA. The program teaches kids ages 10 – 18 about the maritime culture and what it means to be a mariner. Youth who join this group are taught trade skills, team-building, and social skills. The program consists of many different elements: boating, rank advancement, fundraising, service to the community, regatta training, fun activities, and so much more! Sea Scout Ship 90​ - Chaser

S.S.S. Chaser is for youth 13-21 years of age and is based in Napa, CA. The group meets every Wednesday from 1900-2130 on 402 Riverside Drive. Contact: Skipper Carl Shellhorn, 707-695-9722.

Sea Scout Ship 22​ - Corsair

S.S.S. Corsair is a male sailing club based in San Francisco, CA for ages 14-21. They meet Saturdays and on Tuesday nights. They also have weekend overnight trips, competitions with other scout groups, and a 2-week long Summer Cruise.

Sea Scout Ship 711​ - Konocti Phoenix

S.S.S. Konocti Phoenix is a coed ship for ages 13 (who have completed the 8th grade) to 21. The ship is located in Kelseyville, CA, about two hours north of San Francisco. Ship 711 meets weekly in the summer at Braitos Marina to work on skill development in seamanship (ship- and small boat handling, maintenance, safety, dealing with emergencies, etc.). In the winter, they meet at the American Legion Hall and prepare for the annual Ancient Mariner Regatta, where Sea Scout Ship crews compete on various seamanship skills. Sea Scout Ship 700​ - Makai

S.S.S. Makai is a 70-year-old program for young men ages 14 to 21 and operates out of Ballena Isle Marina in Alameda, CA. The Makai crew go on day cruises, overnight trips, and an annual summer cruise. Crew does all planning and navigating for the trips. The group works on rank advancement, participates in regional regattas (competitions), and performs community service throughout the year. Maritime Explorer Club 700 - Makai

M.E.C. 700 is for 11-13 year old boys and meets every Sunday 2-5pm at dock H at Ballena Isle Marina in Alameda, CA. This M.E.C. is operated by S.S.S. Makai. Click on the image to email for more information or to join.

Maritime Explorer Club 19 - Makani

M.E.C. Makani is a co-ed junior boating club for ages 11-13 based in San Francisco, CA. They meet weekly to learn the basics of sailing, rowing, kayaking, and more. They also go on day trips throughout the year to explore the many nautical sites around the bay. A great intro for those who can't wait to join Sea Scouts! Cost is $100 Annually. Sea Scout Ship 107 - Odyssey

Odyssey is an all girls Sea Scouts crew based in Richmond, CA. Established in 1974, they have a long history of seamanship, friendship, and fun. They meet Monday nights at Point San Pablo Harbor. Sea Scout Ship 9 - Sea Fox

SSS Sea Fox meets every Wednesday from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at Aeolian Yacht Club, 980 Fernside Blvd, Alameda, CA and they meet at their boats on Saturdays, Gate H, Ballena Isle Marina, Alameda if they aren't at a regatta or traveling. Sea Scout Ship 1 - Yankee

SSS Yankee is a coed ship-based program for youth ages 14-21, based out of Humboldt Bay, CA. Ship 1 has been sailing the bay, lagoons and rivers of Humboldt County since 1969. The ship meets twice a month on Wednesdays and Scouts learn sailing, rowing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, maintenance of watercraft, seamanship skills and safety.
